My Resume

I live in Central Florida. I moved here in 2005. I grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I have 3 wonderful children, 1 girl and 2 boys. I home-schooled my children for 15 years. My youngest decided to give public school a try and jumped in with two feet to the middle of high school. He is doing great! But it has brought big changes to both of our lives, but we are muddling through and doing quite well together.

In 2011 big changes occurred in my life and I took 2012 off from crafting to rediscover myself. I have found the love of an amazing man that has helped me heal and move on. He is an amazing photographer and avid nature lover. He has helped me recenter and find my love for nature that I had lost for 20+ years. Together we are exploring all the great things nature has to offer in our backyard. We can be found out kayaking and hiking at least a couple times a week. Ron always has a camera in tow so I have TONS of amazing photos to work with. They are so wonderful I can't help but be inspired by them!

I have been crafting most all my life. My mother was into all kinds of crafts as I was growing up. Then I was a Girl Scout leader for 10 years and a Day Camp Director for both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts for 4 years. So crafting is just in my blood.

I used to make a scrapbook when I was young of all my travels with my Mom and Dad. And then I had one of those big ones when I was in high school and college. I was introduced to the "modern" scrapbooking through a friend who was a Close To My Heart demonstrator at the time. I was hooked from the very beginning! That was over 10 years ago and now...well it's an addiction! I am crafting on some level almost every day. I love to be in my craft room.

I like to try new things and experiment with new products. I have had some wonderful opportunities to meet some very talented and friendly people through CHA and my craft. My ex.husband and I invented a line of organizational products in 2009. The company was ScrapCessories.

During 2009 and 2010 I had the opportunity to stretch my crafting abilities through working with Above Rubies Studios . I learned a lot about video and dvd production with Megan Gravener. I was a guest designer in two of her DVDS, 123 Cards and A to Z Imagine. Working with her allowed me to learn lots of new things about the crafting industry.

Through encouragement from Megan I joined the Design Team for Club Ruby Designers. This is a kit club. This was the first Design Team I had ever been on. I was on the DT for 6 months, where I was the head of the Design Team for 4 months.

During 2010 and 2011 I was a guest designer for Passionately Artistic and Kinderstampo. I also took over the Design Team for Chica's Gettin' Crafty Blog. I ran that design team for about 4 months.

I currently am using a Circut as well as a Silhouette Cameo machine. They both great machines and I love them each for their strengths.
